There are many ways to install these gtk, metacity and icon themes…
To automatically install the themes, you have to type the following lines in a console. You will need root privileges.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:elementaryart
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install gtk2-engines-aurora elementary-theme elementary-icon-theme
Since then, your update manager will check for udpates, wich will be installed automatically, if accepted.
You can also download them manually, and them put the folders in these directories (within your personnal folder) :
~/.themes/
~/.icons/
or (multi-user install ; root privileges needed):
/usr/share/themes
/use/share/icons
