According to standards, domain names are not supposed to start with such special characters (in this case, a dash). DeviantArt is no longer allowing such profile names and advises to sign up with new usernames…
Actually, using Internet Explorer, you may not encounter any trouble. You may know Internet Explorer doesn’t always follow standards 
It also seems as if Safari can manage this. (There are some feedbacks of iPhone – firmware 1.14 – having trouble, and some other – firmare 2.0 – displaying the page succesfully) 
Linux users will have to edit /etc/hosts (superuser privileges needed) and add, at the end of the file :
# Workaround for dashes in URLs
8.10.77.140 -kol.deviantart.com
